Effective June 15, 2026 · Version 1.1
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Daedalus Shop and related services (the "Service") provided by Daedalus Automotive. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. By signing up on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us at [email protected] immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not share credentials or create accounts to circumvent restrictions in these Terms.
All customer records, repair orders, estimates, invoices, vehicle data, and other content you enter ("Your Content") remain your property. We process and store it solely to provide the Service. You may export or delete Your Content at any time.
Customer deletion is a soft-delete: the record is immediately hidden from active use, but historic invoices may be retained for the period required by applicable tax law. Where applicable law requires full erasure, contact us and we will provide a scrub script.
You agree not to:
When you use the Service to send SMS messages or emails to your customers, you are the sender and you are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, including obtaining required consent, honoring opt-out requests, and including required disclosures. Daedalus provides the technical means to send communications but has no visibility into whether individual recipients have consented.
You are solely responsible for knowing and complying with all applicable federal, state, and local automotive repair regulations in your jurisdiction — including written repair authorizations, estimate requirements, and parts disclosure rules. The Service provides software tools to help manage your shop; it does not guarantee that your use of those tools satisfies any particular regulatory requirement.
The Service — including its software, design, and documentation — is proprietary to Daedalus Automotive. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You retain all rights to Your Content.
Any AI-generated output the Service provides is an informational aid to be evaluated by a trained technician — it is not professional automotive advice and does not replace a technician's judgment. You are solely responsible for all repair decisions, safety assessments, and work performed on vehicles.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information. Our Data Processing Agreement governs our obligations as processor of your customers' personal data under GDPR and equivalent laws. Both are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
If you joined through a beta invitation, the Beta User Agreement supplements these Terms and governs your pricing arrangement and obligations.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features. For material reductions in functionality, we will provide at least 30 days' notice.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Daedalus is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data. Our total aggregate liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so the above may not fully apply to you.
You agree to hold Daedalus harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the Service, your content, your violation of these Terms, any communications you send through the Service, or any claim relating to your customers or repair work.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute not resolved informally will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction in the United States. Before initiating any formal proceeding, please reach out to us at [email protected] — most issues can be sorted out with a conversation.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by an in-app notice before the effective date. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
