Pricing defaults
These values seed every new estimate this shop creates. Each
estimate snapshots them at create time, so changing them here only
affects future estimates — existing estimates keep the rates they
were written with.
Labor rates
What you charge per hour. The first row is your standard rate and is used whenever a labor line doesn't name another; techs pick any of the others per line on the RO.

be set to a rate on their customer page.
Fees, tax & supplies
Labor billing basis
Labor bills the hours you quoted, unless
Bill labor by the clock (below) is on. On any RO line
you can switch to the tech’s actual clocked time — billing
less than the quote takes effect straight away, and
billing more asks you to record who authorized it first.
Either way, a line never bills more than the written estimate on
its own: charging above it without the customer’s approval is
something most state repair statutes prohibit.
Diagnosis fee

Call-out fee

On-call jobs outside your normal days, on top of labor. 0 = none.

Per tire — the Fee line's quantity is the number of tires.
Estimates are good for

Printed on the estimate with the date it runs out. The customer's
approval link stays open as long.
Minimum labor per job

The first labor line on a job starts at this many hours, and a job
billing less is flagged on the RO with a one-click fix. 0 = no minimum.
When a tech clocks time on a labor line, the line bills the clocked
time instead of the quoted hours: less when the job runs short, and
never more than the quote until the customer approves extra time.
Estimates still show the quoted hours. A line you set to Est or Act
by hand keeps that.
Parts / sales-tax rate

Applied to taxable parts / other lines. Tax-exempt customers are
never charged regardless of this rate.
No sales tax will be added to any invoice.
Enter your combined state + county + city rate for
this shop's address. Leave it at 0 only if you genuinely do not
collect sales tax.

Parts markup

are always allowed.
Cost-based tiers
Optional — cheaper parts can carry a higher markup than expensive ones. A part's cost picks the first band it falls under; if no tiers are set, the default markup above applies to every part.

Mobile: mileage and job sizes
Only applies to mobile-mechanic shops. The per-mile rate that bills

Included distance

Distance you eat before mileage starts billing. When
adding a MILEAGE line, the qty starts at (round-trip −
this number), floored at 0.
A job's quoted labor plus your setup and driving time, rounded up to the
next size. The estimate shows the size, and a booking for the job
reserves that long.
